Great flavor. Waitress was attentive. Went on a Thursday around 4. It was pretty slow at the time and we found out they have a pretty good happy hour. Definitely going back.

I made plans to meet a friend at Los Cuernos the other night, and I naively thought that we would easily be able to get a seat at the bar on a Wednesday evening around 6 pm. I did not know much about the restaurant, clearly! I arrived first and was shocked at how crowded and how loud the place was. I let the hostess know that I did not have a reservation, but would love a table since the bar was full. She mentioned that they had one high-top in the bar area or one table in the dining room. Despite the bar being packed with corporate types enjoying happy hour, I thought it would be more casual for my meeting with a prior colleague I had not seen in years. The hostess escorted me to the high-top, where I started looking at the menu while I waited for my companion. While I was sitting there, some of the neighboring people standing around my area, just made themselves at home, placing their drinks on my table. I was annoyed and started to feel super cramped. Luckily, another table away from the disrespectful group opened up, so I quickly moved. My friend arrived soon after that, and we were still able to partake in the happy hour specials, which lasted until 7:00 pm. We each ordered House Margaritas, which were only $7 at that time, rather than the still affordable $10 otherwise. The drinks were VERY strong, which is more of a warning than a complaint! They did have too much salt on the rim for my liking, though. Our drinks were paired with a bowl of complimentary tortilla chips and salsa, both of which were very tasty. Our server was attentive and checked in on us frequently, which, in a way, further enticed us to order food. I set my sights on the plate of 3 Tacos, which could be mixed and matched. I was bummed that chicken was not a taco protein option, though it was used in other items, like the enchiladas. Instead, I went with the Steak, Fish, and Pork varieties. The steak was tender and juicy; it was served with a side of spicy sauce that really had a peppery kick. I was not sure what type of fish was in the fried patty on that taco, but it was similar to a flaky cod. While I liked both of those, the moist carnitas, which was the server's recommendation, was my favorite. I really enjoyed my experience at Los Cuernos, but I would be sure to make a reservation the next time I visited. Also, while the happy hour was clearly a draw, the restaurant seemed like it would have a bustling bar scene on weekends as well.

This place is great. They have a great marg happy hour and the quesadillas are so good. Get the steak one, and the ceviche is also great. The bartenders are fun and friendly.

The food here was good but it wasn't amazing. I think for the price - they do a great job. The drinks are great as well. The service was also wonderful. It is a very cute vibe and ambiance. They also have late night food which is great. The only problem is that it gets very loud after 9 pm since it is also a bar.

I stopped by here and still feel the same way I did in my initial review. Only wanted to post an update because I just swung by here and it seems they've changed their policy, they charged us $2.75 for each additional portion of chips and salsa.

If you want a decent meal for a great price (especially in JC), definitely try this place out. The food wasn't anything spectacular but I enjoyed everything. This restaurant is really big and has a lot of seating, it's clean and the decor is nice. The music is very loud and you'll have to shout, I barely heard the waiter half the time. Speaking of which, service was excellent, everything came out quickly and there were no errors. We tried the margaritas (pineapple and watermelon). Both were good, I preferred the pineapple, it tasted more fresh (the waiter said they actually purée fresh pineapple and add it to the drink). The watermelon one tasted like a jolly rancher, which to some might be appealing. The potato flautas were really good, nice and crispy, I've had very similar flautas elsewhere (maybe it's hard to mess them up?). The beans were delicious, better than other places I've tried. And the rice was just rice, nothing special. The steak tacos were pretty good, the steak was over cooked and on the saltier side but it was still good. The sauce it came with is extremely spicy! Be careful when trying it (I dipped too much and regretted it immediately not knowing it was spicy). The quesadilla was so delicious, I ordered it with chorizo and it had a very subtle spearmint flavor, which I love and use a lot in my cooking. At this point I was quite full but we really wanted to try the skirt steak. And this dish was about $15 which is amazing because I've had gross steak that was over $50 before. And you get a tortilla, guacamole, beans, rice, an enchilada, and salsa. This is a great value for the flavor and the quality of the steak (tasted great the next day too). Highly recommend trying this because each element was delicious. For dessert, the waiter recommended the tres leches, this was such a great way to end the meal, it wasn't overly sweet like a lot of tres leches and the peaches really complimented the cake. I'll definitely be coming back!
